  1. I really like the pictures you have in your illumination chapter but I think you may have too many in that one chapter. You have grouped your photos really well though!

    1. Yes, I do! I am compiling as many as I can for each chapter and then by Monday, I will have them narrowed down to the requirement! Thank you :)

  2. Lauralea, I think I have told you this many times before but I love your photos. Some of your new additions were nice too. I like your chapters but the one that stands out to me is the "Window of Transparency" chapter. Of your new photos the ones in this chapter are my favorite. This works really well in describing your ability to work with direct shooting and to do so under a specific constraint without making it boring. I congratulate you on this!
The third and forth photos here are my favorite of this specific chapter and hold a tie for your Picture of the Year. I really like the third one because of the way it makes me feel when I look at it. The fog on the window through the blinds makes me feel warm but that it is cold beyond the window. I feel as though if I were to reach out that I could touch the window and smudge it. I like how the sunlight spills onto the blinds and you can see just the tops of trees.
It was difficult to choose among your photos because so many are nicely done! Your portfolio was very appealing. I enjoyed your work over the semester!

  3. Lauralea, I really enjoyed viewing your work throughout the semester as it was consistently very well done. The final portfolio continued that trend and came out awesome. For the POY my vote goes out to number 4 in chapter 3. A window of Transparency. I love the effect that is created when photographing that type of glass, the way that images are displaced. It creates the sense of mystery making us wonder what lies behind the glass that we cant see through. Again, awesome work this semester I really enjoyed your critiques throughout the semester.

  4. Chapter 4, number 1. Such a cool shot. I looks like something i would see for sale at a local art exhibit so it has my vote for your POY. Everything else looks great too!

  5. Chapter 2 photo 4 is my favorite! The tones within are so varied yet come together so well. Chapter 4 photo 2 is a close second. It's a lot going on in the pic that keeps your eyes moving around. I like how you have grouped your portfolio. Great work!

  6. Beautiful photos! Your collection has a really nice feel to it. You definitely have a distinct style which I really admire. My vote for POY would have to go to number 6 in your Luminous Outlook collection.

  8. Lauralea,
Your sets of photographs have been a favorite of mine all semester. This portfolio really shows your style perfectly! My POY goes to 5 in your chapter Passage Through Life (love all your chapter names!). This photo made me feel so at home when I saw it in your previous set and I still love the feeling. The colors are beautiful, really great job with your editing. As your chapter says, this photo reminds me of what my passage to life would look like if I were to picture it. Overall, beautiful job this semester. I would love to have some prints of these photos one day!

  9. Lauralea, I always looked forward to seeing what you had for every posting. You have a really good eye for what the class was looking for. I would have to pick # 5 in chapter 4 for POY. I love the tones and the composition of this picture. It reminds me of my favorite time of the year. Great Job.

  10. Lauralea,
I like the photos that you decided to chose for your final portfolio. It really must have been hard to since a lot of your photos throughout the year have been my favorite. As for you POY, I'd have to agree with Sarah. Photo #5 in the Passing Through Life chapter. It was really natural and pleasant to look at. Great work finding that location.
