  1. I think you could make a chapter about light that would group a lot of these shots really nicely! I really like your photos and cant wait to see the finished portfolio.

  2. Deborah, The photo I vote for your picture of the year is the fourth one down under the first chapter titled, "Cognizance". I think I had chosen this as your POW during one of the critiques. I like how you were able to overlap an old photo in a contemporary time. I think your creativity stands out here and you show a uniqueness in your artwork here.
Also, You have a very nice collection of photos. Your photos flow very nicely and your titles are interesting and different! Over all, good job!

  3. Debora, my favorite picture is the very last one. There is something about it that really grabs my attention. I think for me this photo generates a lot of mystery, the way that the light is beaming in across the face of the person walking through the doorway. Which causes me wonder who this person is walking in. Overall I think that you had a lot of really great shots and that your final portfolio came out very well. I did notice that you had 2 chapters with the same title Cognizance

  4. Deborah, you have some very powerful photos emotionally. You did a great job capturing so much emotion in your shots. Your POY in my opinion is the church under conviction. The black and white is so well done it deserves some recognition! The church itself is so dark but the surrounding atmosphere seems lit up. I really like it.

  5. Deborah, I like the 4th photo in your first chapter. I've seen something like this done before, but not in this class and I think you did a better job of capturing both a memory and feeling with it. I think the muted color helps give it that nostalgic feeling. Good job overall!

  6. Deb,

I thought your chapter titles and the way your photographs were grouped was conceptually really interesting. I like that you made that part of the art. I am voting your POY as the 3rd photograph in Cognizance(2). I thought this was extremely powerful. Fantastic job.

  7. Deb,
I am choosing #2 Composite for your POY! A photo that would seem to be a silhouette actually had a great sense of color. It turned the photo, that would normally be gloomy or mysterious, suddenly reminded me to "look on the bright side". It made me wonder what was used to create those colors. Great job organizing your portfolio, and I really enjoyed looking at your work!

  8. Deb, you have a nice set of photos. Your portfolio works nicely they way you set your pictures up. I would have to say my favorite pictures would be the ones of the picture within a picture. This was such a neat idea and you pulled it off well. I would pick the one of the woman in the kitchen as your POY. Nice job!

  9. Debora,
Great work putting together you final portfolio. It was really enjoyable to look at what you decided and what you added. For my POY, I would pick the third photo in the Cognizance chapter. It was really interesting to me. Great work again this year.
