  1. Regarding alignment: Blogger would not, despite my best efforts, allow me to center my photographs. I have been fighting with my computer for the past hour and a half. I may be able to fix this eventually, but for right now it's just not happening. Best, Allison

  2. Hey Allison,
I hope you figure out how to center your photos, best of luck! But for your POW I have to say I love the hands! #1 and #3 just really interest me. I really want to know how you did them. What apps did you use. I like how the almost look like you took a picture, ripped it in half and pasted another half on top - over and over. I think of the two I like the black and white version (#1) best.
Not sure what it is but I like the black and white, I think it adds to the detail of the skin and overall feeling. It partially reminds me of a magician doing a magic trick. How? I just keep wondering about those hands. Unique technique here. Nice job!

  3. It’s interesting that you used panorama differently to make things appear “glitched” and in shards in some cases. It’s very unique, especially used in your self portrait #7. My favorite shot of yours is #13 because of the lighting and everything just seems to shine. We get to see everything that you were seeing in the way that you used the panorama setting here. I like your nature shots a lot, #16 also stands out because the lighting is very soft. Nice job.

  4. Nice set. #12 is my favorite here because of the shutter effect and it seems as if it could also be pano. Pretty cool. I keep looking at it again trying to figure out where it is, great way to draw me in! I also really like photo # 13. The colors are vibrant and the sunlight on the left side drew my attention to it then slowly over to the shadow on the right side.

  5. Allison-
Loving the nature photos, 13-17 I would love to know where you took these, it looks like so much ! You really know how to capture the light with the slow shutter speed, I was actually trying to do something like it but wasn't successful :(
Great self portraits, really funky! Number 6 is my favorite.
For the POW, I have to say number 14. I love not knowing how a photo came about, the light purple colors resemble bubbles and the contrast between the green grass is happy. Nice work!

  6. Allison-
So, I just watched the movie "Hostel" last night, and number one scared the s**t out of me when I first saw it. Very clever distortion! I want to see a whole series of warped hand photography now. Number 4 is a funny little thing. I love its ambiguity and warm glow. Number 13 is a breathtaking landscape panorama. It's really gorgeous. It's a tough pick between 4 and 13, but I'll go with number 13. Great stuff!

  7. Allison,
I commend you for distorting some of your photographs, sometimes I don’t think I take enough risks while taking photos and your risks paid off! Aside from the abstract and slow shutter speed pictures, I think my POW is #13. Although the colors are vibrant and bright the photo still feels soft to me. I love the grass blowing in the wind; it makes me feel at peace, especially with no one being in the field besides the random cars. The sun beaming in the left corner is a nice contrast the subjects on the right side of the photo. Overall, you had some really creative photographs, good job!

  8. Allison 16 has to be my favorite, someone else posted a similar picture and i chose that as my favorite too. It captures the beautiful autumn colors but adds a lot of really cool depth with the great focus in the photo allowing us to see the rocks beneath the water. I think you put together a great set of photos. You have a knack for great nature photos, keep up the good work.

  9. I really enjoyed your photos this week, Allison. I noticed that when taking panorama photos, your camera did the same thing as mine did. It cut up the image after it processed for some reason that I was unable to figure out. I really enjoyed the look it gave, though. Other than that, your photos were great. Photo #12 and Photo #4 were may favorite. If I had to choose, it would be Photo #12.
