Maria- Love the self photo, I like how everything except your skin and hair is RED RED RED. Great set of photo's this week. Number 14 is awesome, I always appreciate side mirror pictures but I really like how up close and personal you got with it. The houses in the reflection resemble the houses on campus but it is still unclear where this is taken! Number 12 draws me in by the angle, did you use panorama on this shot or did you just get super close? I also like number 9, what a great way to use shutter speed. I would chose number 7 for my POW, it gives a completely abstract view of the house involving so much into one photo. Nice work!
#2 and #3 are my favorite. #3 is an interesting take on our assignment. I do enjoy most of these photos. I wish you had more panoramas. But other than that you did a good job with the effects like 4-7. I would vote #3 as your POW. Overall nice job
Maria- I really enjoy the more dark and ominous photos in this series, and the house interior panoramas are fascinating. That blue glow on the stairs number 6 is terrific. As a series, it flows smoothly and has nice color balance. And I'm lovin' that corner action in number 4 as well as the mirror- nice touch. For some reason, I really like numbers 10 and 11 as a set- perhaps because they are so opposite in content, form, and feeling. So, I would vote both as a set as the POW, but if I must choose one, number 10 all the way- it's flawless. Cool stuff!!
You clearly worked hard, understood the assignment, and did an excellent job with this set of photographs. My favorites here are #8 and 9- they were very well framed with flawless use of slow shutter speed. I'm going to vote #9 as your POW because there is something very entrancing about this tangled mess of bark and lights that really sucked me in. Great job!
I like the de-saturated colors in this series. Number 11 is very interesting to me with the rope, but I'd have to say that my POW is number 9. I enjoy the composition of the photo plus I like how you captured the twinkling of the lights
I love # 4! Very interesting way in utilizing the extended seeing theme. The plainness on the left side draws you immediately to the mirror's reflection as it encompasses the color and makes the photo pop. I also enjoy #8. I don't know what it is or where but it looks cool. Lol Even though Professor says "'cause it looks cool" is so critique 1, I think that applies more so to the photographer. As a viewer, I am drawn to it because of reasons unknown, other than it's pleasing to the eye. Great work!
Maria i like the set for this week, my photo of the week would have to be 9 i really like the up close detail that we see here. The lights add a cool aspect as well. The composition is good and the contrast is too. Great job this week, and keep up the good work.
Hi Maria, Great photos overall, some of my favorites are 7, 8, and 12. But my POW definitely goes to 7. You really captured an extended way of seeing this room. I love the mysterious and dark vibe I get from the panorama picture. It almost feels like a dream because of the wonkiness that happens on the wooden shelf leading down into the living room. The coloring in the photo also works in its favor. The desaturation works with the wonkiness to help create that weird atmosphere. Good job!
I like the contrasts with the shapes and your shoe in photo #3. I also really liked how you used the motion of mixing the contents of the bowl with the black and white effect in photo #8. My favorite photo of yours would have to be photo #9 because it adds an element of mystery, while also being a pleasant photo to look at. Good job this week!
