  1. Hi Lauralea,
I am always a fan of what you bring to the table! I always have a hard time deciding on the photo I would like to see as your POW. Your self-portraits are unique and tasteful but I think the photo I would choose of your set is #8. It has a great composition and shows a lot of depth with linear perspective. I like how you were able to capture the skateboarder as if he was transparent. It makes me feel as though I am visiting this location and having a flashback of this figure who was here before but no longer is.
I also enjoy how you lowered the saturation in this photo to help with the overall vibes it emits. Overall, good job! My other favorites are #10, 15 and 18.

  2. Lauralea,
You are one of the few sets of photo's that I always look forward to seeing and you did not disappoint this time. You have a nice mix of panorama and shutter speed shots. I love 18, it is super creepy and very complex. I am also going to have to pic #8 for your POW. I feel like you captured a ghost by accident. It's such a "simple" shot I love the clean lines of the floors and the way the windows kind of reflect the floors. Then you have this figure, he is real, but is he? I keep looking at the picture expecting him to vanish or move through the picture. Great Job.

  3. Another great job. i love how your first couple photos really bring out the season and its colors. After that you did a great job with slow shutter while implementing other aspects, like pano. Although all your photos are excellent, my favorite is you last self portrait. Really great job, so that has my vote!

  4. Lauralea, I really like a number of your photos in this set! My favorite was #3. I like the slight trace of a person, but it's very faint, and almost creepy. I also really liked how you toned the first couple photos in the set with a warm, autumn color. It really complements the content of the photos. Great job!

  5. Hey! I really like your photos and the way that you grouped them. In the beginning they start out with nature and give me almost a calming feel and summery because of the orange tint you used. Then they turn and start to almost look like old photos because of the faint color and feel of them. The ending of your photos have almost a creepy feel. number 13 makes me feel as though someone is about to pop our and scare me. I really enjoyed number 15 and the angle that you took it at. For my POW I am going to vote for number 11. I feel like this really captured the assignment and I really enjoyed looking at it as well.

  6. I love how cohesive a lot of these photos are! 1-6 have some really good things going on with the temperature and overall vibe of the photos. #18 is great too. Honestly I like all the compositions and your use for filtering colors. The only thing I would say is to switch up what your shooting. Some of the outdoor landscapes get repetitive but that doesn't take away from how you are editing the photos. I enjoy what you're doing. You did a good job with assignment.

  7. I think your set is my favorite overall. There’s a huge element of mystery that you’ve kept since our first critique. My favorite is definitely #9 because of the color and I love how you used slow shutter with row homes to make it seem like there are twice as many there. #17 is also really great, you captured a huge amount of space in this one. One thing I might change with the set is the setting in 1-3. They all look great, so I understand why you put them all up and I probably would too, you can just tell that they are in the same place. Really great job with these!

  8. Great job ! I feel like I say that to you every week - you have some talent that I most definitely do not have! Choosing a POW is difficult for me, but i would have to say number 15. I really am drawn into the cobblestone. I also appreciate how much it is emphasized by the angle it was shot in. The slow shutter speed on number 18 is awesome. How did you capture this, did you have a tripod? Some of your photographs are so mysterious, I cant seem to figure them out!! You have nice shots using panorama but it doesn't seem like you really enjoy taking them, i am much more intrigued by your other shots this round, I can tell you really had a good time! NICE WORK

  9. Wowzer, the set is phenomenal. The only thing I'd say is that the first couple photos are too similar. The third photo is my photo of the week. I spent some time thinking about what was moving on the railing and I still haven't figured it out!

  10. This is an awesome set, and truly hard to narrow down to one particular photo however I'm going to go with number 18. For whatever reason it made me think of a scary movie. Every week you have quality photos that demonstrate great understanding of the assignment so great job. You use the shutter speed extremely well, something i really struggled with doing. Some photos are similar, but all are great shots!
