  1. Breanna,
#1 is just so well done it was an easy decision! This photo actually looks like it was taken with a camera instead of a smartphone. It captured so much detail both in the structure as well as the lighting of the garage and the sky. It is really great how you were able to capture the way the parking garage lights up the whole area and how the sky is just closing up with some night light.
You have a great combination of lights and dark. The angle at which you were able to take this photo makes it interesting. It makes me wonder where I would be standing in order to get this birds-eye view. This photo is really inspiring for slow shutter/long exposure and show how you can capture this certain kind of lighting. Nice work!

  2. Breanna, I instantly agree with Brooke here. Number 1 is by far your strongest and most visually captivating photo of this set. The way you were able to capture light and how the light rendered off the roofs of the buildings is breathtaking. It almost looks as if you used some sort of night setting or HDR setting in combination to a slow shutter speed, with the way you were able to capture the lighting of the sky and the amount of detail in the buildings and ground. Then, even in the darkest areas of the photograph you are still able to catch some detail, nothing is truly black except for in the extreme background with the silhouettes of a skyline. Excellent job!

  3. I really like number 12 because i'm not exactly sure if the curb is actually that awful or if you intentionally messed with the panorama to give it this effect. It's really cool either way and nicely done by you!

  4. I like the overall tone of this set. Very autumn like. #3 is cool, it looks like a painting. I would vote that one or #12 as your POW. There's something about that one I like even though it totally destroyed the actual form. The first shot of the skyline is a good panorama too. You did a nice job editing the color with these. The only thing I would say would be to find some more content outside of your comfort zone to shoot. Good job

  5. I really enjoyed looking at all of your photos. Number 4 had me thinking and wishing I knew how you had done it. Feels as though it could be a pattern on something abstract. You photos all have a similar feel and color about them. It is a good way to group them and your style as a photographer is really shining through. The photo number two of your self portrait is great. A lot of people have had images like thins and I still have no idea how they were created. Is it motion where you moved to another spot on the frame or are you overlaying to images? I think my favorites for the POW are 2 and 12. I like how the walk way seems to be distorted but its not choppy enough to look like the picture was messed up. Great job, can't wait to read your recipes.

  6. Breanna-
Number 4 is my POW, great job, thinking that you used slow shutter speed. I am still trying to get a good grasp on the technique. Number one is also a great shot, I love that you are on a really high building looking down at lights, not just buildings and cliche type monuments. I would have to agree with Brooke, when she says that it looks like a camera took this photo which is awesome ! What app are you using? I would love to try it out ! You should use number one to do your recipe this week :)

  7. Breanna -
Number 2 was my POW for you. You did a great job using the slow shutter speed technique in a lot of your photos and I am curious as to how you were able to master it. I am excited to see your recipe this week.

  8. Hi Breanna,
Your slow shutter pictures are very well done; I like how the self-portraits become sort of abstract. My POW goes to #1. It is not your average night shot. The lighting is perfect; you can tell the sun just went down because of the beautiful skylight. Since the sun wasn’t fully down you got the nighttime shot with the best lighting. You made a parking garage feel inviting, warm, and actually pretty which is pretty difficult! So, props to you because this photo is very captivating.

  9. Breanna hands down number 1 was my favorite of the group. It looks like a shot from a movie or a magazine, not sure why but the first thought that came to mind was batman, guess its the scary dark composition of the photo that made me think about it. There is a ton of detail and different aspects that add a lot to the photo. From the sky in the background to the detail and the structure, as well as the lighting. One of my favorite shots I've seen thus far.

  10. Breanna-
I really love these photos' style- it's like grungy sunflowers. I really like your self portraits. They are so texturey and dynamic. Really gorgeous shots. Number 4 is really fascinating- I enjoy the organic forms and colors. Number 6 reminds me of Wall-E...I love that movie. And number 13 is an interesting panorama. The singular angle is really unusual for a panorama. Very clever! I vote number 4 for pow!

  11. I like how your photos seem to be essentially your life. You take pictures of what you are doing and what is around you, instead of searching out landscapes and creating a picture to be taking. I like that a lot. My favorite photo of yours would have to #4.
