Hi Rachel! My favorite by far is #19. I can really see your innovativeness throughout your entire set but it really stands out here. You also look like you were having fun with this weeks topic. Its cool how you used your hair to capture movement with slow shutter. It makes for a very well done self-portrait. I wonder more about you and your intention behind this photo and pose. The black and white made for a very good choice. It ends up giving this somewhat blurry photo a clean look, especially in the contact of your dark hair and shirt with the pure white background. Love it, nice work!
Rachel, my favorite is also #19! Is that you or a friend? If that is your self-portrait, I would love to know what you did to create that. The slow shutter effect really captures movement, which is awesome. This looks like it should be an advertisement of some sort, but the tonality of it adds a vintage effect, which is awesome. Your set, overall, has a good use of the slow shutter/extended seeing effect. Great job!
You were able to capture the feeling of fall really well in your photos. There’s a pretty strong color palette throughout. You also showed movement really well though your use of slow shutter speed, particularly with the light shots. But I think movement is shown best in photo #19, your self portrait. Really nice job, I think #19 is your photo of the week!
I agree, and I'm voting #19 as your POW. This was a very clean, professional-looking shot. However, I also enjoyed your fall photos, especially #11. Perfectly framed and the colors are very vibrant. Nice job!
My favorite shot is #11. It just looks really cool! I love the angle at which is what captured and the bold colors that embody the fall season. I like your natural shots- they provide a nice break from the city landscape we get in a lot of sets. Great work with the pano style, I envy your ability to keep them so clean and straight!
Great set of photos this week! Number 11 is my POW, really awesome how the mushrooms are hidden within the leaves and the angle you used really emphasizes this. Your self portrait, number 19 - Wondering how you did this? Maybe I need to invest in a tripod. Really cool shot! Number 17 is also one of my favorites, I turned my head a couple of times to try to figure out if that was running water or not. Did you capture 12 and 13 by moving yourself or moving the camera? Keep it up, great photos!
First off.. I love your last self portrait! It is awesome and so playful. Also the color tone you decided to use is great it ads some drama to the shot. You have a great group of photos here. I like number 17 as well, it an interesting angle that is hard to get because most of the time (at least around the city) he streets are always busy. The slow shutter speed in number 11 makes me feel as though you are running in the woods. For you POW i have to pick number 18, I think it is a very strong photo. Great job this week!
I really like how the warmth of your photos transfers over from the urban environment to the rural environment. I wish the photos were a little more dynamic. My pick for you POW is 18. I like how you got close to the ground and really captured the distance of the road. I don't think the white buffers were necessary though.
Rachel 2 has to be my favorite. I really like the focus in the image as well as the buildings in the background being reflected off the buildings ahead of you. The fountains create some pretty cool depth in the photo as well. You had a lot of really great shots in this set, keep up the good work!
Rachel- You have some pretty gorgeous outside shots! Number 2 has such meticulous detail in the water. I admire the varying angles and slow exposures. The colors real pop! Numbers 6 and 7 are so vibrant and dynamic. And numbers 12 and 13 are really interesting. I feel like Katniss after she gets stung by the poisonous bees! Number 19 has the same erratic vibe. It has my vote for the pow!
Really cool angles of a lot of different subjects! I liked them all! My favorite photos of yours would have to be #16 and #19. I like the symmetry in the #16 A LOT! Also, the way your subject (is that you?) is portrayed in photo #19. It's definitely a really cool picture!
