  1. Hello David!
Still love your unique style! I like that you are always doing something different than the rest yet staying within your own personal vision, its refreshing. Your black and white photos stand out. I'm curious as to how you did them this way, they are very contrasted without looking over done, maybe it was the lighting?
They are great but my favorite is # 8. The color and darkness draw me in as do the unidentifiable figures. I enjoy how the figures are silhouetted with the colorful sky against them and reflecting off the surface. Something my eyes have always been drawn to is when the sky is orange and the trees and all else on the horizon is a pure black silhouette. That is what this reminds me of.
Keep up the good work, look forward to seeing more of your photos!

  2. Hi David! I love your photos for this assignment! You really went all out in experimenting with different techniques to create the look of "extended seeing". Very inspiring! Numbers 2, 8, 11 & 15 are my favorite of the bunch. They are all used different techniques and I think they represent your personal style and vision very well. I vote #11 as your POW. There is just something about the distortion of a fish-eye lens that I always find so fascinating. You bent our perspective, quite literally. Great job!

I agree with Brooke, you are always doing something different ! I really like number 12, it is something about having to take a second look to figure out what exactly it might be. Great panoramas at the beginning of your photos. My POW is number 8 as well. The sky is the perfect color for this type of photo, the light purple and pink really catches the dark figures on what it seems to be a rooftop! How clever! It is really hard to tell apart 3 and 13, are they the same photo?
I really enjoyed your set this week, I would love to see some more variety!

  4. You have such a cool street style. Skateboards and graffiti are always cool! My favorite is # 8. I just love the colors in this one and how they contrast between light and dark. Your subjects looked posed, but then again not posed. Lol. Really cool. I also love # 7. The mono color is dope and it encompasses themes from different lessons we've had throughout the semester. I really like your work overall as it shows a very different side of photos than what is typically being posted.

  5. David-
You have some pretty interesting panoramas here. I especially admire number 3. I like all of the darkness-it was a bold move. Nice work! Number 8 is very powerful and it definitely caught my eye. It is beautifully captured and framed. I really enjoy numbers 14 and 15. I haven't seen anything like these two before. I would want to see number 15 printed really big...I bet it would look cool. I like your adventurous approach to this series. Number 3 has my vote for the pow!

  6. David your use of the panorama is great. They make really great shots and show us more than we would normally be able to see. I really liked how you used a fish eye effect on number 11. This is going to be my POW, you framed the guy on his board perfectly at such a great moment in time. Nice job. I enjoyed you photos and look forward to seeing what you used to create the effects in number 11.

  7. David-

I agree, you have a really interesting urban street style of photography that has been consistent throughout the class. #7 is my favorite, and your urban decay shots tend to be the most powerful. However, I would recommend turning the saturation down a little bit for #7 (otherwise, it's perfectly framed and the lighting is awesome). Also- be careful of photo cliches (e.g., skateboards, graffiti).

  8. Hey David,
Really interesting photos this time around. I enjoy your use of b&w in some of the panoramas, it creates a mysterious atmosphere, which I like. My POW is #15. I’m not sure how the white border is there but it makes the picture more interesting because of the unevenness. I like the use of slow shutter speed to create a blurry mysterious vibe. Strong self-portrait, good job!

  9. David 8 has my vote for photo of the week. The color in the sky really pops as there is great contrast in the blues, pinks, white. The fact that people are included but are dark and you cant really see anything about them other then the outline adds another cool dynamic to the photo. Plus the rooftop makes me think that its risky, well done with this set great group of shots.

I really enjoy your set of pictures this week. I love the urban theme of your pictures. You also did a great job with all of the panoramas. My favorite picture of yours is definitely number 12 and that gets my vote for POW.
