I really like 2 .6 and 11. Number 2 fits in well with the theme for this crit because it looks like an old hotel in the city that was designed in the 50's. I like 6 because although sunset landscapes may be considered cliche, i think you do a very nice job with it because its not too dramatic. My vote for POW is number 11. I really like the bridge and the symmetry of the steel beams, so nice job!!
I also vote #11 as your POW. The central vanishing point really draws you in. I've commented about this on some other people's photos, but it's something that stands out to me. It's especially interesting that you were able to get so much of the top portion of the bridge and the wooden floor of it. Very symmetrical and carefully framed.
Hey Maria- I also agree that number 11 is my favorite and gets my vote for pow! The linear patterns and the extended angle view is insane, and I love that you still got the sky in between the beams. Really cool. I also enjoyed number 4 and it's creative subject matter. It's captured beautifully, but I wish that I could see the the bit of the light bulb that got cropped out of the frame- it's a gorgeous shot nonetheless though! I like your playful self-portrait with your dog too. Nice job!
I really get the sense of old time as I look at your photos here. I particularly like # 10. I am a fan of lines and symmetry and I like how clear cut these are. It does have an old school vibe to it as well that works. I also like # 5. The way the colors are so bold and contrasting to one another makes for a great photo. Good job!
Hi Maria, Some of my favorites from your set are; 3, 11, 12, and 16. I think each of the photos are very well composed and thought about. I agree with some other classmates that 16 is POW. The toning of the photograph really makes it feel like a past memory so I think it works well for this weeks topic. The clouds help give the image more texture, if the sky was blue I don’t think it would has as much as an effect. Good job!
Hi Maria, I definitely got the essence of the assignment in your collection of photographs. You really showed the vintage and old feel in them. My POW for your would have to be photo #5. I love how professional it looks and I envy your ability to be able to make that shot happen.
I enjoyed your photo set and think you have a lot of great shots. Number two was very cool looking and reminded my of the entry way of an old building. It felt like I was walking out from just seeing a musical or something. I also really liked the chain shot. It was taken at an interesting angle. My favorite would have to be number two. Nice job on these.
I'm jumping on the 11 bandwagon. I thought it was extremely well done and I really like the way it was framed. It has the fading color and the rust which really captures the assignment well. I thought you produced a great set overall that made picking one hard, you have great sight for color and a good sense of framing. well done
